Moody McCarthy is a stand-up comedian who has performed on Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, Last Comic Standing, and Star Search.  He lives in New York City with his wife and step-dog.

Moody began his career in the 1900s in his hometown of Syracuse, NY.  Many who witnessed his early performances forecast stardom.  Moody proved those people wrong.  After six years Moody moved to New York City, where those who heard his jokes predicted he’d be courted by A-list producers as a writer.  That has not happened.

But after 20+ years honing his craft, Moody has steadily gained the respect of his peers and audiences everywhere.  With a disarming presence, punch lines you don’t see coming, and in-the-moment chops, here is a comic who thrives in any venue.  From corporate shows to pubs to country clubs, he will brighten any event.

Moody McCarthy: few people hate him!
